
Jørgen Tandberg
PhD Student
Jørgen Johan Tandberg is an architect and associate professor at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, where he is currently teaching the MA studio series Architecture and the Archives. In January 2026, he submitted his dissertation Architecture, Resonance and Reverberation: Broadcasting NRK within the Provenance Projected project. His archive-based thesis investigates the architectural heritage of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) at Marienlyst in Oslo, in light of its recent sale (advisor Mari Lending/ co-advisor Thomas McQuillan). Jørgen received his diploma with honours from the Architectural Association in London in 2010 and subsequently undertook postgraduate studies at the Berlage Institute. He is the founder of Arkitektfaglig Presse, an independent publisher specialized in architecture, and the co-editor of Pedagogical Experiments in Architecture for a Changing Climate (Routledge, 2024). His architecture practice has been awarded in several competitions, and his work has been published in journals such as Architectural Review, Architectural Design, Building Design, Architect’s Journal, Arkitektur, Sculpture Magazine, Mur+Betong. He has lectured internationally, acted as design critic in schools across Europe, and publishes nationally and internationally.
